the who 50th anniversary tour – end of an era

Is this it?

According to the London Evening Standard, guitarist Pete Townshend said the following in an interview:

“For the 50th anniversary, we’ll tour the world. It’ll be the last big one for us. There are still plenty of places we’ve not played. It would be good to go to eastern Europe and places That have not heard us play all the old hits. “

The Who was formed in 1964 and broke through in 1965 with songs like My Generation and The Kids Are Alright. At that time they were as famous for being a big part of the British wave as Britain’s new pop bands took over the charts in the U.S..

The 50th anniversary takes place in 2015 and that is when The Who’s last tour will take place. It’s sad to see a titan fall, but we will always remember them.
